Tell us a little bit about your character?
Ouiser is a bit "set in her ways".  Life hasn't always been easy for this old southern woman, but she has persevered and triumphed!  She is made of strong stuff and her friends know that, regardless of her rough edges, she can be counted on at all times.  She adds flavor to their lives, and they recognize that as well.

What were some of the challenges for you in working on this piece?
I wanted to be sure to explore all the notes in the melody that is this character.  It would be very easy to play just one note. That would be very unfair to Ouiser.

What do you hope audiences will take away from this play?
The word "Steel" is in the title because this is a play about strength - the strength of individuals; the strength of friendships; the strength of families; the strength of traditions, and of course, the strength of women.

The Odd Couple (Female Version) - meet cast member Natalie Fox

Meet Natalie Fox, playing Vera is LTA's upcoming The Odd Couple (Female Version). What did you find appealing about your character and this show? I love that Vera is funny without meaning to be because it really makes her an entertaining character to form and play.  This is a really witty and fast paced show with Vera sometimes used as a way to break tension or to change gears.  She's full of random, non sequitur remarks that jar the other characters away from their nostalgia discussion for a moment to marvel in her vapidity.  That being said, she is also well-meaning, helpful and kind person who genuinely adores her friends and loves being around them. How long have you been acting and what made you get involved with theatre?
