The Odd Couple (Female Version) - meet cast member Michelle Fletcher

Michelle Fletcher plays Mickey in LTA's upcoming The Odd Couple (Female Version).

What do you find appealing about your character and this show?
Mickey is one of the girls and a true friend (after all she eats Olive's brown sandwiches) and is dedicated to helping the helpless - whether they want help or not!

What have you learned about yourself in playing the role of Mickey?
Trivial pursuit can be interesting.

What do you want the audience to experience from this show?
Neil Simon's keen observation and wicked sense of humor should have them reeling in their seats and the underlying message of "give and take" being crucial to happiness is thought-provoking.  Superbly crafted, The Odd Couple (Female Version) is ideal entertainment for the discerning theatre-goer who likes to laugh!

How does this show differ from other shows you have worked on?
It doesn't really.

What made you get involved with theatre?  How did you get involved with LTA?
I saw an audition notice and took the plunge!  I am so grateful that LTA has given me the chance to renew with the theatre after a career-driven break.  It is wonderful to feet at home with a whole team putting their experience, talents and creativity towards a common goal - and being able to add my little bit to that achievement.

What advice would you give others who are interested in working in theatre?
Get involved in any way that you can.
