Tell us a bit about your role in The Rocky Horror Show. I play a Phantom Usher.  My job for the shows is to pretty much do all the yelling back and audience participation stuff, which is fantastic because I'm such a Rocky Horror fan! I do this kind of thing already at screenings of Rocky Horror on weekends, so doing it for the real show is awesome!   What have you learned about yourself while working on The Rocky Horror Show? Well, I've learned that I hate wearing lipstick!  All kidding aside, I've really become part of the team with the other Phantom Ushers. Coming up with what we're yelling back, when to do it, and all that. The whole cast has really embraced me, even though I'm the youngest by far (I'm 18, while everyone else is... actually an adult). Tell us about your characters. What do you find appealing about your characters and this show? I actually play two characters on the show.  I play Eddie, a delivery boy that is roped into a relationship with Frank and eventually ends up in Frank's experiments.  I also play Dr. Everett Scott (Scotty), Eddie’s German uncle, as well as Frank’s arch nemesis.  He knows that the people in Frankenstein’s place are aliens and he’s trying to expose their secret.  He’s also Brad’s old science teacher. What have you learned about yourself in playing these roles? In playing these two roles, I’ve really pushed myself.  With Eddie, it’s only one song, but it involves a lot of energy and craziness that’s just completely out of control!  It has to stay up the whole time because Eddie is an obnoxious rocker.  For Dr. Scott, it’s about the German accent and playing the role in a wheelchair.  It’s what I like to call challenging fun! The Little Theatre of Alexandria is proud to present The Rocky Horror Show .  Many audience members have experienced Rocky Horror as a movie.  Originally released in 1975, the movie is now a cult classic, and millions of moviegoers have been inspired to dress up as characters and participate in different ways. Because LTA is producing a live performance, however, audience members are respectfully asked to limit their participation.  The following “props” (often brought by cinema audiences) will not be allowed:  water pistols, candles, rice, lighters, matches, noisemakers, confetti, toilet paper, toast, cards, hot dogs, and prunes. One public performance—the midnight show on Friday, October 31—has been designated a “participation performance.”  Audience members at this performance are encouraged to bring newspapers, flashlights, rubber gloves, and bells.
