Building LTA's Leadership Pipeline
Building LTA’s Leadership Pipeline
Participate in nominations, June 13 annual meeting and voting in LTA elections
LTA was fortunate enough to carry on during the pandemic thanks to the foresight of volunteer leaders who built a strong financial and operational foundation over the past two decades. As we emerge from COVID-19 and prepare for a new season, LTA like many arts and nonprofit organizations is facing a changing volunteer landscape. According to a study by Fidelity Charitable, 66% of volunteers have decreased the amount of time they volunteer or stopped entirely due to the pandemic. For LTA, it wasn’t just the pandemic that had an impact on our volunteer community. We sadly bid farewell to longtime members who moved away from the DC area or passed away.
As LTA marks it’s 88th year in 2022, we need to focus on growing our volunteer community and building a leadership pipeline to carry us into the future for many more decades. Whether you recently joined LTA or have been volunteering for a few years or a longtime, you can have an impact on LTA’s future and expanding our leadership pool.
- Attend the annual meeting on June 13 and cast a ballot in the LTA board election
- Keep your LTA membership current, a criterion for voting in elections and serving on a committee or the Board of Governors.

- Try your hand at producing a show by starting as an assistant producer.
