What do you find appealing about your character? Minnie is a warm, jovial presence in the Girton residence, and I had so much fun developing her personality and charm. The Lady in the Tea Parlor, though she only has two lines, is quite a striking contrast to the forward-thinking Girtonites, and actually reminds me a lot of women who, even today, can’t seem to experience any measure of success without pulling up the ladder behind them. She was a fascinating character study. What do you want the audience to experience/take away from this show? Blue Stockings is a show about social change, and how difficult but ultimately worthwhile it is to work for. As women’s reproductive rights are once again under siege in the United States, this play stands as a reminder that we must never take our rights and privileges for granted, because there will always be regressive actors trying to take them away. How does this show differ from other shows you have worked on? I’ve worked on period pi

What do you find appealing about your character and this show? Lloyd isn’t the nicest chap in this show, so it is always a fun job to play the ‘bad guy’, as he is quite different to who I am in everyday life. What have you learned about yourself in playing the role of “Lloyd”? My character’s attitudes and actions are rooted in fear which manifests as a desire to maintain the status quo. As people, we need to become comfortable with and embrace change.  What do you want the audience to experience/take away from this show? This play highlights just how far we’ve come in ensuring access to education for all. Yet, it reminds us that we still have challenges we need to overcome. How does this show differ from other shows you have worked on? This is my first show since high school, so everything’s more grown up. How long have you been acting and what made you get involved in theatre? How did you get involved with LTA? As a child, my mother got me acting lessons instead of LEGOs; I di

What do you find appealing about your character and this show? Edwards is a goofball. He is well meaning although not always articulate. Every line in this show feels intentional and as an actor it is an incredible opportunity to work on something like this. What have you learned about yourself in playing the role of Edwards? Edwards is kind, confident, and genuine. It isn’t easy being all of those things. Edwards is teaching me to trust and be kind to myself. What do you want the audience to experience/take away from this show? This play poses the question ‘love or knowledge?’ My hope is that the audience asks this question to themselves and for it to spark conversation. How does this show differ from other shows you have worked on? Every character and every line feels important. We all are part of a moving ship. It really feels like an ensemble piece. How long have you been acting and what made you get involved in theatre? How did you get involved with LTA? I have be
