  What do you find appealing about your character and the show? I have always been attracted to Bea’s strength above all else. She loves her family and will stop at nothing to support them, with or without help from anyone else. She’s the definition of a self starter, and a powerful woman. What have you learned about yourself in playing the role of Bea? I’ve definitely learned a lot from Bea’s unapologetic persistence. Coming back into live theatre after(?) the pandemic has been very demanding and sometimes defeating, which is why Bea came at the exact right time for me. She reminds me every day that I define myself, my values and my future. What do you want the audience to experience/take away from this show? I hope the audience can take away a newfound sense of ambition and the biggest of belly laughs. What do you find appealing about your character and the show? I get to play several characters as a member of the ensemble. My favorite is Tom Snout. He's very enthusiastic about being an actor which I identify with in my own personal life. The show is so much fun and so funny. It is so much fun to perform! What have you learned about yourself in playing this role? Since this is my first real show, I've learned so much about myself as a new actor. The ensemble is such an integral part of the storytelling and it allows me to get to play with different methods of acting as I switch from character to character. What do you want the audience to experience/take away from this show? I hope that the audience has trouble catching their breath because they're laughing so hard! What do you find appealing about your character and the show? The most appealing thing about Shakespeare in this production is his sense of style. The eyeliner, the black nail polish, the leather pants—it’s very rock n’ roll. A close second would be how Billy Shakes makes whomever he’s talking to feel like the most important person in the room…well, unless you’re Nick Bottom. Shakespeare is an incessant people pleaser, for better or worse. This show is simultaneously heart-warming and downright chaotic. Every moment includes features a joke, a touching moment, a dazzling (and often unexpected) dance number, or a clever reference. Performing this love letter to musicals is an absolute thrill ride, and I can’t wait for our cast and crew to share that experience with audiences. What do you find appealing about your character and the show? I'm really excited to be in the ensemble because we get to play so many different parts. Especially in "A Musical" where every four measures we're changing styles. The show itself is also just a blast! It takes us and the audience through a history jazzed up with some show biz flair. What have you learned about yourself in playing this role? I've learned that I have to keep remembering I'm not in the audience! I get so caught up watching the other actors that I just want to sit back and enjoy their performances. What do you want the audience to experience/take away from this show? I want the audience to leave having had a good time. I hope that we can provide a night free from their everyday troubles and these unprecedented times. What do you find appealing about your character and the show? When I first saw Something Rotten! on Broadway years ago, the ensemble really stuck out to me. They effortlessly tapped across the stage, singing with joy, bringing much of the energy and charisma that makes this show so beloved. As an ensemble member, I get to perform as several different characters, dance in a variety of songs, and truly enjoy living within the world of the English Renaissance! I feel that every cast member of this show, whether principal or ensemble, is essential in making the audience believe they have truly traveled to the past! What do you find appealing about your character and the show? Being in the ensemble, I get to play a lot of different characters, which is incredibly fun. I’m constantly going to be doing costume changes and interacting with different people onstage and creating different goofy ways of moving/speaking. It’s all very chaotic. Just like the show itself, which is what makes it so special and enjoyable.  What have you learned about yourself in playing the roles of Yorick/Bard Boy/Ensemble? The show has got a bit more dancing than I’m used to, which was a little intimidating at first, but I think I’ve really been able to step up to the plate and prove to myself that I’m capable of doing much more than I thought.  What do you want the audience to experience/take away from this show? This show is really one that just fills you with joy, it’s so very funny, and it’s got something for everybody.
