A Christmas Carol- meet cast member Natalia Beach!

What do you find appealing about your character and this show? One of my characters, Ignorance, represents the children of the world that are poor and abandoned. Playing this character reminds me that it’s important not to be selfish. Instead, I should help those that are poor, sick, and lonely. This play shows the importance of helping others. What have you learned about yourself in playing the roles of Ignorance and the Youngest Cratchet Boy?   Playing these roles reminds me that having money and other material things is not more important than friends and family and it won’t make you any happier.   I’ve also learned that teamwork is important to make a great show. What do you want the audience to experience/take away from this show? I want the audience to have fun and get into the Christmas spirit. How does this show differ from other shows you have worked on?   Most of the shows I’ve performed in were musicals with less talking. This is also my first ...

What do you find appealing about your character and this show? I really like my character, Tiny Tim, because he is thankful and happy even though he is poor and sick.  I like that the show celebrates Christmas and reminds me that it’s a time to be kind to others and share.  What have you learned about yourself in playing the role of Tiny Tim? I learned that I should be more thankful for all that I have.  I’ve been blessed with good health, a loving family, and many friends.  I also learned that you don’t need to have a lot of money to be happy. What do you want the audience to experience/take away from this show? I’d like the audience to take away that Christmas is a time for family and being thankful to God for the blessings he has given us.  How does this show differ from other shows you have worked on? This is my first show where I am working with mostly adults.  It is also my first Christmas play.  Most of the...

I have been in the theater community for many years, first at Dominion Stage from 1998-2007 and The Foundary in WDC before coming to LTA.   I hold an A.A. in Liberal Arts (which includes theater), A B.P.A. in Public Administration and an M.S./I.T. in Science/Technology and Business. How does this show differ from other shows you have worked on? The show does not really differ so much, as I'm working with a lot of the same crew members, although we put on different versions of "A Christmas Carol" every year. What made you get involved in theatre? How did you get involved with LTA? I came to LTA at the request of the late Roland Gomez for his show "A Party to Murder",   which was my first show at LTA and for which I jointly won the LTA set painting award.   I've also just recently jointly received another LTA set painti...
