Dirty Blonde - meet Co-Stage Manager Lynn Lacey

What do you find appealing about this show?
That it's part play, part musical, part biography, part romantic comedy.  It has everything... well almost.

What surprised you about Mae West?
That she was a savvy business woman.  She was way ahead of her time in many ways.

Jo and Charlie are fans of Mae West.  What are you a fan of?
Good quality theater.  I love well produced shows which is why I love LTA!

What made you get involved in theater? How did you get involved with LTA?
A friend asked me to help out with a show she directed with a group in Woodbridge in 1998.  I started stage managing then designing sound and have been doing both with several area groups ever since.  A dear friend of mine asked me to co-stage manage for Sweeney Todd at LTA and I fell in love with this theater and everyone here.  It is, by far, my favorite place to "work".

What advice would you give others who are interested in working in theater?
Jump in!  There is always something that needs doing and most can be learned as you go.  Nowhere is help more appreciated than in community theater.  If you're good at building, painting or some of the more creative things like costumes, hair, makeup or a techie who loves sound and lights, there is always a need.  And if you ever have the opportunity to work at LTA, don't pass it up!  You won't regret it!
