The cast of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee opening Jan 14 at LTA not only practice their spelling but also their singing.  In pics below, Claire O’Brien (Mary Parks) conducts Emily Jonas (Logainne SchwartzandGrubeniere) while Matt Williams (William Barfee) signs about his “Magic Foot.”  A true crowd pleaser, this spelling bee should cure your winter blues!

Meet Matt Neufeld who is playing Nathan Radley in LTA's To Kill a Mockingbird . Tell us a little bit about your character.  What single word would you use to describe him? I play Nathan Radley, the older brother of Boo Radley.  Nathan only appears here and there, but the character does do something quite pivotal in the story.  He is mysterious, reclusive, an introvert, he doesn't say much, he's protective of Boo, and he's a bit of a mystery.  Thus, the one word I would use to describe Nathan is mysterious. What were some of the challenges you faced while working on this piece? The challenge is to try and do something interesting, notable, and memorable with Nathan in his brief scenes and to get across to the audience that even though Nathan is a small supporting role, his presence does matter. 21st Annual WATCH Award Winners Announced

UPDATE: The 2023 WATCH Awards, recognizing outstanding achievements in community theater in the DC region, were held March 19, 2023 in a sold-out ceremony at The Birchmere. Attendees were able to celebrate their community in person for the first time since 2019. Due to the interruptions to the theater industry caused by the COVID virus, this was the first awards ceremony since COVID and included productions from 2020.
