Meet Matt Neufeld who is playing Nathan Radley in LTA's To Kill a Mockingbird . Tell us a little bit about your character.  What single word would you use to describe him? I play Nathan Radley, the older brother of Boo Radley.  Nathan only appears here and there, but the character does do something quite pivotal in the story.  He is mysterious, reclusive, an introvert, he doesn't say much, he's protective of Boo, and he's a bit of a mystery.  Thus, the one word I would use to describe Nathan is mysterious. What were some of the challenges you faced while working on this piece? The challenge is to try and do something interesting, notable, and memorable with Nathan in his brief scenes and to get across to the audience that even though Nathan is a small supporting role, his presence does matter. What do you hope the audience takes away from this play? I hope that the audience experiences a variety of emotions, thoughts, ideas, lessons, morals, themes, and mess...

The Nance - meet cast member Janice Rivera!

"This is an unusual production being that it is a play with music, not a musical. Because of the Burlesque setting we see little mini “plays within a play” with highlights of sketches and dances that are modeled after the ones you would have seen during the heyday of Burlesque. What is particularly clever is how the sketches and dance numbers highlight and parallel the storyline but aren’t actually a part of the narrative as would be the case with a normal “musical” production." J anice Rivera (Carmen/Dance Captain) is thrilled to have a second time at LTA to fly her Bandera Latina. She was last onstage here as Camila in In the Heights. Previous roles: Aldonza in Man of La Mancha at MCP and Lucille in Parade and Judas Iscariot in Jesus Christ Superstar (both WATCH nominations) at SMP. In the Heights - meet cast member Janice Rivera

Being a part of In the Heights illuminates the differences that Hispanic people encounter depending not only on where they reside when they come to the US but also how their families decide to acclimate. During the 1950’s when my father came from Puerto Rico to go to medical school in upstate New York, he was eager to shed any image of himself as “ethnic” or Hispanic. He wanted to integrate into mainstream American life. My only exposure to his culture was when we visited family once or twice a year in Puerto Rico throughout my childhood. Most of my relatives there were eager to speak English (my grandparents were both English teachers in their hometown) and so my siblings and I didn’t become fluent in Spanish. At the time, this distancing was a more comfortable approach for my father. I think as time has passed, he’s realized that we all would have been better off embracing his roots more.
